Baking
Baking club offers two days of enrichment a week and this is one of our most loved clubs! On Tuesdays, students have the opportunity to master some quick culinary delights that they can then take home to share with family and friends like cookies, gingerbread man, cupcakes, rice krispie treats. These sessions are 3-4pm and offer students an introduction into baking where students can develop skills such as measuring, time organisation, and multitasking.
On a Thursday, more complex recipes are tackled by our more experienced bakers, with projects such as treacle tart, meringue, fruit tarts and decorating skills that take longer to master. This is an extended session, finishing at 5pm. Students can enjoy tasting new dishes and discovering new skills, such as precision, hand-eye coordination and food safety.
