Cheerleading
Cheerleading gives students the opportunity to develop confidence, coordination and performance skills within a positive and supportive team environment. Sessions focus on timing, movement, routines, teamwork and communication, while also helping students to develop commitment, discipline, resilience and self-confidence. Students have the opportunity to represent Kingswood Academy at a range of events and performances, including concerts and Academy events, with the cheerleading team performing at the Academy Awards at the Bonus Arena. The programme also provides students with the opportunity to challenge themselves further by entering national cheerleading competitions. Enjoyment, teamwork and pride in representing the Academy are central to the programme, making cheerleading an exciting and important part of the wider Kingswood Sports Academy.
