Cheerleading
Cheerleading gives students the opportunity to develop teamwork, confidence, coordination and performance skills within a positive and supportive team environment. Sessions focus on timing, movement, routines, communication and teamwork, while also developing high-level cheerleading skills including stunts and tumbling. Students are encouraged to challenge themselves, build resilience and develop the commitment and discipline needed to perform as part of a competitive team.
The team has ambitious goals for the future, with targets set on competing at a national level and developing the skills required to represent a Level 3 team. Students have already achieved success on a national stage, finishing 6th nationally at the 2025 UKCA School Competition, and are continuing to build on this achievement.
Students also have opportunities to represent Kingswood Academy at a range of events and performances, including concerts and Academy events, with the cheerleading team performing at the Academy Awards at the Bonus Arena. Enjoyment, teamwork, ambition and pride in representing the Academy are central to the programme, making cheerleading an exciting and important part of the wider Kingswood Sports Academy.
