It is our Farm Leaders’ mission to create a safe environment for all our pupils and animals: a safe space where pupils can interact with our animals alongside other pupils who have a similar love of animals.
It is our Farm Leaders’ mission to create a safe environment for all our pupils and animals: a safe space where pupils can interact with our animals alongside other pupils who have a similar love of animals.
Farm leaders ensure that the farm is kept safe and clean and they ensure that our animals are fed and watered on a daily basis.They demonstrate a variety of our key drivers which ensures that they are model leaders throughout the school. For example, farm leaders have the highest expectation for the farm as they will not accept anything that is not the best for the animals. This is evident in the time and dedication that each farm leader shows by visiting the farm at least three times a week. They also promote outstanding learning by teaching other pupils how to look after the animals such as: what food they can and cannot eat; how to hold them; what the animals like and how to clean them out.
To apply to become a Farm Leader, pupils complete an application form which asks them questions such as:
