Peripatetic lessons

At Lift Kingswood, we believe that music has the power to inspire, build confidence, and unlock every student’s potential. Through our partnership with Hull Music Service, we are proud to offer free instrumental music lessons to all students, a unique opportunity among Hull secondary schools.

This school-funded investment provides every student with access to high-quality musical education, enabling them to learn an instrument, develop their skills, and experience the many benefits of music. Where appropriate, instruments are provided free of charge by the Hull Music Service, ensuring that every student has the opportunity to take part, regardless of their circumstances.

Students receive expert tuition and are supported to work towards recognised music examinations and qualifications, allowing them to celebrate their achievements and develop valuable skills for the future. Whether students are beginners or already have musical experience, they are encouraged to progress, perform, and reach their full potential.

Music plays an important role in supporting academic achievement, confidence, mental health, and overall well-being. At Lift Kingswood, our commitment to musical education reflects our ambition to provide a broad and enriching curriculum where every student can thrive.
